Just like your mobile phones, we too need to re-charge every night after a long and stressful day. They say that 8 hours of sleep every night is just the right amount to get you ready for the next day. Initially, I used to barely sleep for 5-6 hours every night, that’s when I found out that lack of sleep can seriously affect my skin, not something I want. So here I am, helping women with the right sleeping pattern that will work wonders for their skin.
1. Sleep on your back: No matter how many hours of sleep I got, I realised that I always woke up with puffy eyes. I researched a bit and realised that the problem lie in the way I slept. Turns out sleeping on your face or the side of your face results in puffy eyes and wrinkles. To prevent that I began sleeping on my back and within a few days I began noticing the difference. If you have dark circles under your eyes and wrinkles on your face, try sleeping on your back, it worked for me and might just work for you.
2. Moisturize before sleeping: Although sleep is a natural healer, a little assistance is always welcome.Sleeping 8 hours every night does make your skin look radiant, but there is only so much that sleep can do. So before I sleep, I have made it a routine to give my body a good rubdown with a moisturizing lotion. I love using BoroPlus as it has worked wonders for me and I suggest you give it a try.
3. Re-program your internal clock: As I said before, 8 hours of sleep is essential. Every night I try to make it a point to sleep by 11.30 and end up waking up at around 7.30, without the help of an alarm. But your body clock takes a while to kick in. There are some days when I wake up before my alarm too.
This internal clock regulates the major functions of the body like blood pressure, body temperature and alertness. Most important it regulates blood flow throughout the body and makes your skin look amazing. Try it out, it will definitely be worth it.
The only reason I follow such a strict sleeping pattern is so that I can look my best throughout the day and feel my best too. I hope these tips help you make your skin look better. Thanks for reading and have a lovely day.
