Dates are a big deal, they always were and always will be. My husband and I still make it a point to set aside one day of the month for our date night. A night that is just about the two of us and needless to say, I still love putting in a little extra effort to look my best. Here’s what I do to make sure my skin looks its best, feel free to follow my lead.
Wash your face before sleeping and after waking up:
Washing your face is just as important as moisturizing it. Make sure you wash your face before you go to bed and as soon as you wake up. I tend to use cold water to wash my face and I let the water dry out by itself rather than use a towel to prevent unnecessary bacteria from coming in contact with my skin.
Exfoliate:
An exfoliating scrub goes a long way in further cleaning your skin of tiny particles that block the pores and make it look dull. Make sure you use an exfoliating scrub at least once before the big day.
Manage stress:
The way I see it, stress is also a key factor that influences how your skin looks and feels. It can make your skin more sensitive and could trigger acne problems. I make sure I get a minimum of 7 – 8 hours of sleep to give my body that much needed rest and makes my skin look better.
Keep away from skin treatments:
In the days leading up to the date, refrain from indulging in skin treatments such as facials and removal of blackhead, etc. If you do want to have some skin treatment done, it is best to do it the natural way.
Moisturize:
The final and most important one; use a good brand name moisturizer. Moisturising keeps the skin clean and makes you look your best. If you ask me, I love using the moisturizers by BoroPlus.
Follow these tips like I do and you will always have date-ready skin.
